Heather Power
Heather is an expert in workplace law, focusing on business acquisitions and restructurings. She advises employers, HR professionals, employees, corporate counsel, and professional advisors on employment agreements, statutory standards, human rights, employee privacy, performance management, and terminations. Heather delivers tailored solutions to foster productive work environments and develops cost-effective litigation strategies.
Working closely with corporate counsel on transactions, she guides them through complex labor and employment issues, from due diligence to managing successor liabilities and mass terminations. Heather holds a JD and MPA from Queen’s University. Before joining SpringLaw, she gained experience at a national labor and employment boutique in Toronto and ran her own practice.
Heather lives in Toronto, enjoying time with family, friends, and her pug, Oliver. She loves cooking, live music, collecting records, and mystery novels.
