Lexa Cutler
Lexa Cutler is a labour and employment lawyer with experience advising and representing both employers and employees in all aspects of workplace law. Lexa aims to solve any legal problem with creativity, empathy, and efficiency.
As SpringLaw’s Knowledge Management Portfolio Lead, Lexa oversees the development and maintenance of the firm’s precedent and legal knowledge systems. She helps ensure that insights, templates, and legal strategies are efficiently captured and shared across the team. Lexa also supports onboarding, training, and the integration of smart tech tools to keep SpringLaw’s legal resources organized, accessible, and scalable.
Prior to joining SpringLaw, Lexa worked at a boutique management-side labour and employment firm assisting both non-union and unionized employers. She also practiced at a plaintiff-side employment and class actions firm, with experience in human rights, wrongful dismissal, health and safety, WSIB matters, and grievance and policy arbitration.
Lexa’s written work has been published by The Lawyer’s Daily and the Ontario Bar Association, and she’s a contributing author to Civil Procedure and Practice in Ontario. She received her JD from Queen’s University in 2020, where she was awarded the Queen’s Law Prize in Trial Advocacy, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2021. She also serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Durham Rape Crisis Centre.
Now living in the small town of Newcastle, Ontario, Lexa can often be found at local breweries, walking trails, or the dog park with her bullmastiff, River. She’s a fan of camping, musical theatre, cooking, and a good fantasy novel.
