SpringLaw’s new firm partners: Hilary, Marnie and Jessyca!

To celebrate our 5th Anniversary, we’re very excited to announce our new SpringLaw Partners: Hilary Page, Marnie Baizley and Jessyca Greenwood!

I am so proud to stand beside these three exceptional women as partners. Our firm is better with Hilary, Marnie and Jessyca at the leadership table providing their wisdom, intelligence, ideas, mentoring and guidance on growth and better client services.

I wrote this post from the heart with a ton of gratitude. I’m a very lucky person to work with these three amazing, kind, badass lawyers who I can now call my partners. They guide me, ground me and inspire me every day.

Hilary has been with SpringLaw since its inception and it’s hard to imagine our firm without her. She is our go-to employment law expert and our award-winning in-house blog author. Her laser-sharp legal analysis and non-nonsense practical solutions are infused with her quick wit and clarity. She’s an important mentor for our junior lawyers and students and leads much of the firm’s internal knowledge management sessions. A word of warning from personal experience: you will never win a strategy board game against her, whether or not she has played the game before.

Marnie joined the team a little over a year after the firm started and is a pillar of our client-centred, human approach to employment law. Not only does she have extensive employment law experience for her complex files, both via boutique law firms and a global Bay Street firm, but she also brings patience, empathy and a knack for sophisticated dispute resolution tactics to every client she works with. Her creative and nuanced legal solutions are backed up by a relentless appetite to fight for the best client outcome possible. Best of all, her wicked Winnipeg humour always, always cracks me up.

Finally, Jessyca joined the firm 2 years ago. SpringLaw remains privileged to have Jessyca merge her practice with us from the successful criminal law firm she ran for 12 years. After years of work in both the human rights, mental health and regulatory fields along with her criminal law practice, she continues to focus on those criminal and regulatory matters that intersect with workplace law. Jessyca is the firm’s Litigation Lead and runs our growing Crimemployment Group. She naturally collaborates without ego, has a deep well of kindness, and yet is the most badass fearless litigator I know.

Thank you Hilary, Marnie and Jessyca for all that you do. SpringLaw would never be where we are with each of you. You make our workplace a great place to be.

Lisa
