Ben is a labour and employment lawyer with experience in all areas of workplace law. He has worked on a wide variety of workplace matters including employment contract and policy drafting, advising on employee discipline, and litigating human rights and wrongful dismissal claims. He also has experience in arbitrations and collective bargaining. 

Prior to joining SpringLaw, Ben practiced at both large and boutique management-side labour and employment law firms. Having also worked in employee relations, Ben understands the importance of practical solutions to workplace issues and enjoys problem-solving with his clients.

Ben completed his Juris Doctor at Dalhousie University, where he also received several scholarships and academic awards, including achieving the highest grade in Judicial Remedies. To complement his law degree, Ben completed Harvard Business School’s Negotiation Mastery course.

Ben resides in Halifax, Nova Scotia and enjoys exploring waterfront trails with his family. Ben is a cautiously optimistic fan of the Montreal Canadiens.
